RAT RACE

Rat Race portrays the experience of young adults' relationship with mental paralysis caused by fear of failure. The game's title is an English idiom which refers to the competitive struggle towards success. Highlighting the journey of overcoming obstacles and negative thoughts, it offers a platform for players facing mental paralysis to feel understood while providing insight to those who are unfamiliar to foster understanding of the experience. Using the visual language of 80s arcade games, it emphasises the value of learning from failures, positive self-talk, and trying again.
